SCAR Foundation
Our leadership programs focus on developing key skills that go beyond academics. Through our leadership development workshops, mentorship opportunities, and community engagement activities, we teach youth the importance of effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and empathy.
One key aspect of our leadership program is mentorship. We pair young people with experienced leaders from various sectors such as business, government, education, and healthcare.
These mentors provide valuable guidance and offer real-world insights that can help our youth develop practical leadership skills. The program also emphasizes teamwork, as we believe great leaders understand the value of collaboration and collective action.
Success Stories:
Joseph, a 22-year-old participant in our leadership program, has turned his passion for community work into a career. After attending our workshops, he took the initiative to launch a community project that offers mentorship to other young people in his neighborhood. He says, “I learned how to lead with empathy, and now I’m helping others find their path, just like my mentors helped me.”
Mariam, a 19-year-old from Buea, completed our leadership training last year and has since started a youth group that focuses on environmental sustainability. “The leadership skills I gained from SCAR Foundation helped me organize and lead a team of youth who are now making a tangible impact in our community,” she says.
